Had a great time at Smith Rock. Met Tom and Matthew from Bozeman, MT, who offered to show me the local scene up there when I get there. Met Marcus and Judith from Munich who let me climb with them for a couple of days. Met Liz from Bend and her little dogs who came to climb with me on my last day.
Onsighted Phoenix, a 5.10a, and did some other cool climbs, and then headed out and onwards. Stopped in at a very cloudy Mt St Helens, Seattle, the Olympic Peninsula, eastern Washington state, Hells Canyon, and up the rivers in the Idaho Panhandle and into Montana.
I really like Montana, and visiting Glacier National Park, up in the top end on the border with Canada didn't change that view one little bit.
I'm now in Bozeman, in a house no less, doing some climbing with Tom and Matthew and using their next door neighbour's wireless internet.
I've got a short summary of pictures from the last week or so below, but for the full stories behind each of them, I highly recommend going and having a look at all of the stories at http://www.tweak.net.au/pics2 and reading all about it.
