Reykjavik Gay Pride drew 40,000 people, or 13% of the entire population of th country. There really were a shitload of people crammed downtown.
Quite a different scene than San Francisco, families everywhere, both in the parade, and watching. Little kids on dad's shoulders, waving rainbow flags. Quite cool really.
The entertainment at the end of the parade was a bit mediocre, and with a cold wind blowing people starting heading inside again quite quickly.
Tanja, Ute, Karine, Matthew and I all met up after the parade for some coffee and a chat, which was lovely, then Tanja, Ute and I, continued the adventure, and went and got some gamlaís, the old style icelandic icecream. I can't say I'm a big fan of it really, it's more watery, which is interesting I guess, and it's not horrible, but....
Cramming in some more socialising, we then went and saw "The Island" with ewan and scarlett. Lots of fun. Not exactly superb, but very entertaining.
Tanja and I survived Ute's driving, and then she went home to be boring and "clean her house" (slacker, anyone would think she was a high level diplomat or something)
Then my bike got stolen, which sucks hard, and I had to catch a taxi home. :( So be it.
