Getting some air around Hvalfjörður and Tröllfoss

Pictures are at the bottom...

It was a clear, sunny day, the first in a while, and I felt like getting out of the house. I though there was an off chance there might be some climbers out, so I headed off to look around the Hvalfjörður area, where there was meant to be a sport area, and also back via Stardalur, the local trad area. No climbers anywhere that I saw :)

But I had a good look around anyway. Lots of fresh snow on the mountains, lots of ice in potholes, lots of autumn coloured grass. Bet you didn't know the grass got autumn colours too did you? It does, but only because it's not really grass. (I don't know what it really is either, but the ground covering herbs have changed colours for autumn)

Followed a sign to Trölllfoss, and followed a series of intertwined farm tracks, eventually reaching what looks like an old dam. Apparently the falls are quite a bit further upstream. The dam was a bit interesting, there was a power pole at the top of the little gorge, but not a thing else to be found, in any direction, just the concrete damn parts, and this one power pole.

Had lots of fun admiring the ice that had formed everywhere, lots of interesting sheets on puddles, lots of icegrass, and interesting patterns where cars had gone through frozen puddles that had refrozen.

Not much in the way of exercise, but some country air at least :)
