Walking to work one morning, I came across two men in worksuits, a truck parked on the footpath, and a high pressure water hose, blasting what appeared to be posters off a control box beside my office door. Water everywhere, mist all over the street, and later in the day, a street covered in wet pulpy bits of poster. What a mess.
And the next day, fresh posters. What an absolutely futile waste of energy. Sure, they need access to the box from time to time. Cut the posters off. When they get thick enough you can peel chunks of them off. You only need to cut through them enough to open the panel anyway. Waterblasting the box, and not even cleaning up was just filthy.
Besides, the posters have to go somewhere!
