17 June, Iceland independence day. Always stuff going on. I checked out the car show by the harbour, but only saw one or two cars I'd not seen before, one of which was amphibious! Then just a long day of strolling around, seeing what people had set up. I quite enjoyed the Icelandic Missile Defense Agency tent, who were handing out baloons and flyers, and had a great video supporting their cause :)
A few scheduling conflicts meant I didn't get to see all the people I knew doing their shows, but I managed to catch Ute and Karine's Tai Chi demonstration. Sorry to Lee for missing his new show, and to Asta for missing her dance school's show.
Fairy floss and hot dogs, and later on, a lovely evening sitting on the hill listening to some bands play. I even got to here Mezzo Forte, a band I used to hear on australian breakfast radio growing up. (The ABC morning host had one of their songs as his theme)
Always a wonderful day, even if a lot of it was under mixed cloud.
