Fuzzy things in space! If you follow APOD or just follow science news, you may have heard that there's a naked eye comet again. It's nowhere near as cool as Comet McNaught, which I feel very ripped off about not getting to see from so far north, but still, it's a naked eye comet, and it's now visibly a fuzzy disc for general observers. So being blessed with a couple of clear nights, I decided it was worth trying out some astrophotography again. I'd not tried anything beyond some wide field scenery type pictures in a very long time, but hey! this is what digital is for!
And I'm very happy with the results. I should have used a cable release, or at least mirror lockup/self timer, as you can see some definite wobbles in some shots, but well, I was lazy. I'm still just happy to get some shots. Almost all of these are crops of the full res images.
