Hjördís, my aunt, traditionally invites the whole family up to her place in Borgarnes for a post christmas dinner. It's a lot of food, and a lot of people milling in and out, eating and gossipping. It's a very nice afternoon, and it's also good motivation to get out into the countryside. I took some pictures after lunch, but nothing came out remotely well, so I've just included some pictures I took from the drive up, and then from my drive afterwards.

Tóti had a quizzical look on his face when I told him I was going to Hraunfossar and Baranafoss at 4:30pm, but it worked out just fine. Late late light gave some funny colours and long long exposures. A fairly uneventful ride home afterwards, but it did start to snow again! Perhaps there might be some skiing this season yet.
