My goodness! Not only did we succeed in keeping Stella alive for a whole year, she's thrived! We had a quite small first birthday, she's still too young to really even appreciate presents, so we just had a couple of grandparents and aunts, and some cakes. I completely failed to remember that my australian cake book has recipes with self raising flour, again, and had to bake the cake twice. Kata much more successfully made waffles just once. Big day for Stella, after her own birthday party, she even got to go and help vote in a presidential election!

A lovely day to finish a lovely year for Stella.
